About speed agility

Ages 7–11

During this important time in a child’s life, youth athletes are in their “skill-hungry” years. The body is primed for new information and ready to ingrain new movement patterns. The Youth program is designed to introduce and create foundations of overall athleticism in a fun, positive, and high-success environment.

Our youth speed and agility curriculum places a high priority on running technique, athletic coordination, balance and relative strength and the introduction of essential muscular movement patterns. These are vital in establishing a child’s athletic foundation for improved performance.

Ages 12–15
In this second stage of an athletes development they have discovered the importance of developing neuromuscular patterns. Athletic fundamentals begin to be developed and directed towards athletic skill application at this stage. At this age group our program focuses on progressing and maintaining athletic movement while refining and ingraining fundamental skills of speed, agility, and power. This repeated rehearsal leads to permanent and positive athletic change.

I this age group our curriculum focuses first on proper movement techniques with increased force production which allows our athletes to reach maximized potential. Secondly, as athletes naturally increase in height, weight, strength and aggressiveness, the need for improved joint integrity is vital for reducing the chance of injury.

Spring Football

Our spring program is broken up in two divisions.
1. Football fundamentals which then leads into a flag football game
2. Tackle training with state of the art equipment .

Tackle training
performance training is the physical and mental process of working toward specific athletic, performance or fitness goals through a regimented program. Research shows that to significantly improve sports performance, overall athleticism and physical ability, athletes must complete training sessions in addition to playing their sport. Training refers to the workouts, exercises and drills they perform outside of organized practices to improve their Strength, Speed, Conditioning and Flexibility.

Our tackle training session gives players the opportunity to train with state of the art equipment ( tackle breaker and the Kaboom Blocker) this equipment coupled this USA FOOTBALLS HEADS UP TRAINING teaches players the proper way to tackle correctly, increases their mental toughness and physical ability.

Football fundamentals/ flag football

This division exposes all players to football fundamentals and football drills. Players learn football rules, flag pulling techniques, a specific football position techniques the first hour of the session; then players are put to the test applying what they learn in a game of flag football.

Every professional player in the NFL started playing as youths for the simple love of the game.

With instruction from Head Coaches, an official NFL FLAG Rule Book, NFL FLAG Players from Milton Georgia will have the opportunity to learn and enhance their football fundamentals, develop new friendships, and engage in healthy competition.

Our program is for everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion, or ability level. There are no tryouts and no team cuts. We do everything in our power to ensure that every NFL FLAG Milton Player gets equal playing time.

With the number of youth concussions in tackle football rising every year, NFL FLAG Milton believes that safety must always come first.

With NFL FLAG Milton Football, every NFL FLAG Player gets the enjoyment of playing football in an organized, team environment, with the safety benefits of participating in a non-contact sport; that’s the best of both worlds! Head coaches and trained officials will also be present at all games and practices to enforce safe play.
 

Use of Orientations to introduce new teams and individuals to the game and its rules prior to the beginning of a season

 

Players are pre and post tested on speed, this helps build both enthusiasm and competition for the ball players

 

No Tryouts! No Drafts! Everyone Plays – Every Game!

 

No Required Practices! (Optional practice organized by the coach)

 

All Coaches are subject to a background check and are certified

 

League Representatives are always on-site to offer assistance

 

Special Requests to play on the same team with a friend or sibling are honored! (Exceptions may apply due to age or team roster size)

 

Game rules and league policies are reviewed at the conclusion of each season to determine where improvements can be made to both the game and the organization

 

Our Leagues promote having fun, playing safe, and getting active in a healthy competitive environment while rewarding the value of good sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork skills.

WHEN WE PLAY?

NFL FLAG Football Milton is played on weekends, year round, with a training component that will help all players increase their speed and agility as well as increasing their mental toughness and confidante.

WHO CAN PLAY?

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL is for boys and girls 4 to 15 and all skill levels.

There are no tryouts or drafts of any kind. Team Coaches are instructed to give all players equal playing time.
